C week

We are midway through the letter C. Both boys know the phonics of most of the letters due to Letter Factory DVD. They have now requested it more than any Disney movie or cartoon-which is all the better as they learn while watching it. But back to the letter C. We have done more small lessons this week to incorporate more books and activities. We started with the iconic Hungry Caterpillar. After I read the book, the boys glued the picture cutouts I had for them- while they practiced sequence, recall, and of course gluing.

Almost as a rite of passage for most preschoolers- we did the egg carton caterpillars as well.

Continuing with “C” we read When Cows Come Home and Kermit the Hermit. I had pre cut pieces for the boys to put together in cow and crab shapes.

Finally we just had free play with cars. I reminded the boys that car starts with letter C but not much more than that. Tomorrow we are doing our bible lesson (creation). It has enough activities that we may break it into two days. Whatever keeps it no pressure or stress and J still asking to “do school”.
